Youth Ministry

Preparing for the future is tough for any of us, but is very difficult for the youth of today. Jobs, college, future spouses, just to name a few are constantly on the minds of any youth. In order for the youth to make the right choices, God has to be the number one priority in their lives. This church believes not just in the church of tomorrow but the church of today! The youth are active in church services: occasionally leading in worship, playing instruments, special songs, etc. Once every other month, on the last Wednesday of the month, the youth are in charge of the service. They lead the service and either one of the youth or a special speaker will preach a message geared towards the youth.

Led by Bro. Rob and Sis. Michelle Hult, the youth stay active. At least twice a month there are scheduled youth nights. These nights are not just to have good, Godly fun but are to help build unity amongst the youth. There are also once a month House to House prayer meetings. The youth will go to a certain families home for a time of a brief devotion followed by a focused time of prayer. Occasionally they make trips out of the area. Some recent trips have been to Chicago, Coral Ridge Mall in Iowa City, Iowa, and Starved Rock State Park.

Throughout the year, the youth have fundraisers. Dinners, cookouts at local establishments, selling miscellanious items, even times of work are ways they raise money. In July, the youth attend the Apostolic Youth Conference in Akron, Ohio. It has been a life changing event for our youth each year they have gone, and we believe it will continue to be as such.
