Ladies Department
Our first and foremost desire and goal of the Ladies Department of the Church here in Princeton, IL is to be a praying group of ladies. There are different aspects of the Ladies Department, but we acknowledge that none of our efforts would be worthwhile without the help of the Lord Jesus Christ in our lives. We want to be the extended arms of love and compassion of Jesus Christ.
The ladies reach out to those in the Church upon the return home from the hospital, either from the birth of a baby, an illness, or surgery by providing meals for a period of time for that family. They reach out to others in the community, in their neighborhoods, by taking food, etc. in a time of need. We also participate in the “Lunch in the Park” program of the community.
The ladies (Daughters of Zion) meet once a month, on the first Monday, to pray for children. We desire that God’s hand be upon the children of the Church and of the Community. We meet every other Tuesday for prayer together. We encourage the women of the church to be strength to their husbands and children at home. Mothers play a very important role Biblically in the home. Praying mothers make a difference not only in their home but in our community and in our world.
The Church has picnics and dinners on various holidays for which the women of the church provide prepared dishes.
Prayer meetings, shopping trips, ladies retreats and garage sales are some of the activities of which we participate whenever possible.
The ladies of the Princeton United Pentecostal Church are happy to serve the Lord in whatever capacity that is needed. Our desire is to be Godly examples to our community and to allow JESUS to shine through us.
Thank You and we hope that you will soon come and experience “Pentecost” with us.
In His love and compassion,
Sis. Townsley & the Ladies of the PUPC
